The Lammas Ringers are based in Godalming, Surrey and take our name from the Lammas Lands, which lie adjacent to the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, the team’s home Church.

We meet every Thursday evening at 7:30pm in the Octagon at St Peter and St Paul to rehearse a variety of music specially arranged for handbells.

In 1997, Miss Eva Childs, the daughter of the Church’s Tower Captain, bequeathed £2000 to the tower of Godalming Parish Church. It was decided to use this bequest to help restore the original 1919 set of handbells, resulting in a fully chromatic two octave set of 25 bells.

The Lammas Ringers was then formed to make use of these bells and has gone from strength to strength, with the addition of more bells and more ringers. The Lammas Ringers will be performing at he following venues over the coming months;

– August 8th: Staycation at St Peter and St Paul, Godalming (10:30am to 1:30pm)

A hands-on experience of handbell ringing.
